Reject with Rule Action - No Substitutions

Question

I've created the a rule that includes Macro Substitutions (http://www.communigate.com/cgatepro/QueueRules.html#Macro) and a 'Reject with' action.

When the rule is triggered, the message that is sent does not include the substituted text. Why?

Answer

The 'Reject with' rule action generates a standard NDR message where the parameters of the original message are included.

If Macro Substitutions are required, the 'Reply with' or 'React with' actions can be used instead. If used in conjuction with a 'Discard' action, the result should effectively be the same as using the 'Reject with' rule action.
